Introducing
a hand held Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) unit designed to provide wireless connectivity to the plant servers for
real time process and production data display, process alarms and diagnostics.
The device can communicate to the process data acquisition server via cellular
modem (outside the plant perimeters) or via wireless Ethernet inside the
plant.
Who
can
use it?
Maintenance
or service technician - The unit allows monitoring of operating parameters
when attending to plant equipment. This means easier troubleshooting
and calibration of equipment.
Operators
- Process parameters and run permissives are displayed through easy to
navigate menus. This means closer attention to the process and faster start-up
times.
Production
managers - Instant production reporting, including delays, operating
and maintenance personnel on shift, statistical operating data and scheduling.
This means knowing what's going on, when you are away from the
office.
